What is the difference between "trust" and "management" books (chart of accounts)
In version 5.0, we added new management "books" (chart of account sor accounting set of books). The existing chart of accounts and accounting "books" is now your "trust" books. This is the standard set of books and will be used for all of your owner accounting.
The "management" books is a new set of books for management operations. Currently, this new set of books is in it's infancy and there is limited functionality supported. However, we will be adding and expanding on these books in future updates.
You will notice when adding charges, you can bill them to "management" revenue chart of accounts. This will allow for tenant payments to be paid, accounted on the management books and deposited to the management bank account if setup for Payshift.
Under your Accounting tab, you'll notice on various sub-sections that you can now filter by the book:
