Why are Rent charges not being added?
There are a couple of reasons why the system might stop adding charges for tenant accounts. This can be frustrating as it’s not always obvious the reason, unless you understand a bit more on how the system works. But it’s also very critical that the system functions this way to prevent unwanted charges. The follow reasons are the gotchas to watch out for!
- The tenant lease terms. What’s the start and end date on the lease? Does the expected charge fall within this date range? If not, this could be the issue. There is a setting to specify leases to go “month-to-month” upon the end of a lease. With this option selected, charges will continue to be added per normal.
- Have you deleted a “Rental Revenue” charge added by the system for the month in question? If so, the system is not going to try to re-add charges that have already been added. If it did, and you truly wanted the charge deleted, you’d get into an add/remove battle with the system, and that wouldn’t go so well.
There are a couple of the gotchas related to charges not appears on tenant accounts when expected. Please confirm these items in any cases where you’re not getting charges added. Thanks!

Hey Anita, I'm actually showing an October Rent charge as having been previously deleted for this tenant account. As a protection, the system will not attempt to re-add charges that were intentionally deleted.
You can go ahead and manually add a new charge for October at this time. I'm not showing any issues for November, so you should see a charge added by the system for that going forward.
