Why was I charged a fee for paying rent?

Depending on the payment type you used when paying your rent, there would have been an associated surcharge fee (a RentPost fee).  The fee is based on the payments types below:

• Bank account (eCheck/ACH):  $1.50
• Credit Card (Visa/Mastercard):  2.99%
• Credit Card (American Express):  3.59%

The associated RentPost fee was clearly displayed when submitting the payment on the confirmation page.  The choice to pay with a bank account or a credit card is up to you, completely optional.  Paying with a bank account will generally be the cheapest method of payment, however it won't carry some of the other added benefits of paying with a credit card.
