RentPost is proud to announce the integration of a new support portal which will be our new home for supporting all our beloved clients! The best part about this new portal is that other clients can throw in their advice, comments, gripes, etc. We're really excited about the opportunity for clients to communicate with each other and help, collectively, to influence the development of the RentPost software.
Along with this release comes a bunch of bug fixes and improvements as well as some backend business systems for the crew... yea, we needed a few toys too ;)
We've introduced two new manager menu systems in this release. A new "personal menu" as we call it on the left side of the screen as well as a new "add menu" for adding elements on their respective pages. You'll see this menu at the top of the right column.
Another new addition for managers that you'll surely see is the Marketing tab. This is a new module that we're working with currently. This will offer the ability for managers to list their vacant units to a number of websites like craigslist, trulia, zillow, rent.com and more. You'll have control over prospect flows and lead generation, stats and some other cool features. So, be sure to keep an eye out for this exciting feature.
As always, all feedback is welcome!

When I edit a tenant's info, I am unable to retain the just entered square footage info. Only the first number shows on the tenant list page.
Kari, please feel free to submit a ticket request for this. However, we're unable to identify the issue. Square footage data is stored with the unit, not with the tenant. We tested the saving and updating of sq footage data on a unit and we're still unable to replicate this issue. Could you explain a bit more. Thanks.
I need to update the lease move in date, do I have to move out the tenant and start all over?
I am providing maintenance services and repairs to the home, I want to charge the expense thru an Owner Portal,
The only place I saw that I am allowed to bill charges is thru tenant portal, this is not the case, as the home needed these repairs prior to tenant move in.
I also need to print an owners statement report, do I need to upgrade for this service, or am I missing a feature?
Hey Tammy, the lease start date is set in stone once a payment is recorded against that tenant. We're currently working to allow updating here though and it should be in place very soon.
Expenses are charged within your accounting "Payables" section, just click the + tab on the right side to add a new expense, then expense that out to the owner or unit you wish.
You can print the owner statements from the reports -> owner statements page or from the accounting -> property management page after generating all your management fees and then owner statements, you'll be able to email, generate pdf, or print your statements.
Hope this helps. If you have any other questions or feature requests, you may have better luck posting them under their respective categories. Thanks.
Where is the link to get update on tickets submitted. It is not list on the Support page. I have two ticket #481 and #480 that I want to get an update on. I was able to access recent, but can find the link anymore.
@Efix, please check the right column for a button called "Check Existing Questions". If you dont' see this, please submit a support ticket. Thanks.
Jacob, thanks for updating my account. So, I made a mistake in the payments and tried to cancel and redo the payment but there is no place for me to do that. Can you help.
@Steve we've replied to your support ticket submitted regarding this. You just need to remove the payment, then re-record it. Thanks.
